Online therapy is convenient for busy women because it eliminates travel time, waiting to be seen in an office and is flexible to fit your schedule. Studies have found online therapy to be just as effective as in person. All you need is a computer, phone, or tablet with a camera, a good internet connection and a private space where you feel safe.

A typical session lasts 50 minutes. Meeting once per week is necessary for the most progress to be made. There may be instances where additional time is needed to work through challenging circumstances, emotions, or trauma. Additional fees for a 75 minute session are available and if needed, more than one session can be scheduled for the week. Rest assured that I will make certain that you receive the support that you need.

My fee for therapy is: $195.00 for a standard session. Extended sessions are available for an additional fee. I keep my caseload manageable so I can do intensive work with my clients and be fully present.

A word about using insurance versus private pay-Insurance companies require that you have a mental health diagnosis that will become a permanent part of your medical record. For insurance to pay for therapy they require that you meet the standard of medical necessity, meaning that you have impaired functioning in one or more areas of your life, such as work, relationships, or ability to manage everyday tasks. Personal growth is not considered medical necessity by insurance companies. They can at any time request your personal therapy records for review.

A variety of factors can cause anxiety, so the length of treatment will vary from person to person. The length of time you have experienced anxiety, as well as the severity of the anxiety can also affect how long it takes for long-term results to appear. Within the first few sessions, you may experience immediate relief. It may take anywhere from 12-36 sessions to achieve sustained relief. If your anxiety is severe, has lasted a long time, and has been compounded by other issues such as depression and trauma, you may need longer-term therapy.
